The technique of manual lymphatic drainage is a non-invasive, gentle and rhythmic skin stretching technique that directs the flow of lymph fluid to lymph node bundles for elimination. Working with breast cancer survivors requires a unique skill set and knowledge of the lymphatic system in order to prevent overload to the involved areas and safely and effectively remove excess fluid build-up.
